Join us for an exclusive evening serving up

a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of
the grand hotel before renovations begin.

In this one-time-only evening, you will walk the halls once traveled by Amelia Earhart, Hank Williams, and Duke Ellington. See Oliver Hospitality's plans to restore the Andrew Johnson Hotel to its original glory with a modern twist. Architects from MHM, Inc. will be on hand for the big reveal. Proceeds benefit TAMIS.

Sunset cocktails on the rooftop

  • Join us on the 17-story high rooftop for the sweeping views of Knoxville, the Smoky Mountains, and the Tennessee SRiver.
  • Enjoy two complimentary cocktails —"Hank's Last Ride" or the "Midnight Frolic" crafted by PostModern Spirits.
  • Visit Hank Williams' room (allegedly) where he spent his last night. 
  • Join us in the ballroom for live Django jazz and swing music by the Absinthe Allstars and vintage footage of the era from TAMIS.

Enjoy live Django jazz and swing from the Absinthe Allstars with atmospheric TAMIS footage of the hotel, UT football, and downtown, evocative of the era.

Proceeds from this event support the Knox County Public Library's Tennessee Archive of Moving Image and Sound (TAMIS). TAMIS is a rare collection of film, video, and audio recordings dating back to 1915 that preserves the stories and culture of our region.
